Junior Academy for the Performing Arts

The Junior Academy for the Performing Arts Goes Virtual this Spring!

The Junior Academy of the Performing Arts (JAPA) introduces theater to students who have a talent and curiosity for the performing arts and strengthens the knowledge and skill level of students already interested in performance. Join us this spring for a virtual musical production of the classic fairy tale, Cinderella. This bright version of the classic children’s fairy tale has all the charm of the original story and all of the familiar characters: Cinderella and her stepsisters, the mean stepmother, the Fairy Godmother, and, of course, the handsome prince. Discover the magic of theatre on the virtual stage.

The Winter/Spring virtual session starts on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Rehearsals are on Saturday mornings from 9 am to noon, with longer rehearsals scheduled closer to the performance date. The program is open to young performers ages 8 to 12. Students should plan to attend all rehearsals to participate in the program.
